SPRING IS FOR RENEWAL

Our life is a never ending circle.

The seasons come and go.

People come and go.

You eat, digest, and eliminate.

Eventually, everything comes full circle.

As we move into spring, there’s a shift in collective energy. It’s time to let go of the stagnation and heaviness of winter and flow into the lightness of spring. You may even notice how your body naturally wants to become lighter because of this.

In many cultures, especially where it’s cold during the winter, spring cleaning outside is a big deal. But spring cleaning is more than getting your yard cleaned up, or decluttering your home. It can mean cleansing and shedding heaviness in many areas of your life.

There are a lot of misconceptions about cleansing. Your body already naturally cleanses itself, otherwise, you’d be full of toxins right?

Spring cleaning to me is also about a digestive cleansing. When you support that process with healthy digestion, you end up so many benefits! You get better absorption of nutrients from your food, and you’re able to release toxins that can create fatigue and brain fog.

Creating better digestion requires your focus on taking care of your body, your mind, your emotions and your spiritual growth. It goes beyond the food you eat, and your body’s ability to break down and process that food. It’s also the emotions you process. It’s your ability to let go. This is how you’re able to truly cleanse and become “lighter” this season.

I fell that it is a great time to maybe:

  • Reassess relationships that may not serve a positive purpose anymore.

  • Meditate or pray and get your body ready for the shift in energy.

  • Eat lighter foods and help your body absorb the nutrients it needs.

  • Drink more water and stay hydrated.

  • Engage in more movement.

  • Try to spend more time outside.

Easter is just around the corner and I feel that before that we have a great chance to renew our body, mind and spirit!
